NEWS x MUSE Manny Gomez talks with Nate Cash and David Errigo Jr. ahead of the debut of the new animated series Tiny Toons Looniversity. Cash serves as the co-showrunner and co-executive producer. Errigo is the voice of two of the beloved Tiny Toons characters Hamton J. Pig and Plucky.

Tiny Toons originally debuted back in 1990. The idea was that these characters were aspiring to become the next generation of the beloved Looney Tunes. Now 33 years later they are back. During our interview Nate Cash talks about why this is the right time to bring them back.

The new animated reboot reintroduces classic characters from the original “Tiny Toon Adventures” series and features an all-star voice cast comprised of Looney Tunes and Tiny Toons alumni, and new voices putting their Looney spin on these beloved characters. The freshman class entering Acme Looniversity—the esteemed institution of higher hijinks learning—includes Emmy® Award-winner Eric Bauza as Buster, Daffy, and Gossamer, Ashleigh Hairston as Babs, David Errigo Jr. as Hamton J. Pig and Plucky, and Tessa Netting as Sweety.

The series follows Babs, Buster, and their new friends Hamton, Plucky and Sweetie to Acme Looniversity. While enrolled, they form long-lasting friendships and perfect their cartoony craft while studying under the greatest cartoon characters in history, the Looney Tunes.
Tiny Toons Looniversity premieres Saturday, September 9, at 9 a.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network. Fans can also jump right into the series on Max with all 10 episodes being released on September 8. Get MAX now by visiting the link here https://www.max.com/
