It’s been a little over a week since the world saw the United States Capital come under siege. Not by a foreign enemy but by a group of misguided fellow Americans, armed and ready to commit acts of domestic terrorism.

In the days since, numerous bulletins from the FBI have warned about the possibility of continued acts of violence and insurrection not just at the U.S capital but at all 50 capitals across the country leading up to President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Unanimously all have condemned the actions that took place on January 6th in the sacred halls of our nation’s capital and all seek to bring those guilty to justice. The argument however on the President’s actions is still up to debate for many Americans and few House Republicans. However today on January 13th, President Donald J. Trump became the first President to ever be impeached twice.

On Friday, Real Time With Bill Maher returns for a 19th season and Maher will almost definitely have some comments about the current state of events. His show will as always include an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists and interviews with guests.

This week features a one-on-one, in-studio interview with former Senior Counselor to President Trump, Kellyanne Conway. This week’s in-studio panel discussion will include award-winning journalist and co-founder of Katie Couric Media, Katie Couric; and founder and host of “Kentucky Sports Radio” and the author of “Mitch, Please!,” Matt Jones. The series is produced under COVID-19 guidelines without a studio audience.

Politico has hailed Bill Maher as “a pugnacious debater and a healthy corrective to the claptrap of cable news,” while Variety noted, “There may not be a more eclectic guest list on all of television.”

Season 19 premieres on Friday, January 15th at 11:00 p.m. ET. The series is available on HBO and to stream on HBO Max.
