In a surprise move, the film will not have a theatrical release as it will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 21.

The trailer for the film seems to have a cast of very recognizable faces including MMA star Conor McGregor. It will be interesting to see him in the film and how much of his personality radiates on the screen. I think the success of this movie is going to really rely on the execution of the fight scenes. Creating those memorable moments will be critical as trying to remake a Swaze fan-favorite film is a tough task. I like Gyllenhaal in the role as I enjoyed him as the lead on “Southpaw”.
