In celebration of Latin Heritage Month, HBO Max, along with the launch of the Moving Pa’lante spotlight page, will honor Latin culture and its many talented community members by highlighting content on the platform that celebrates the Latino experience.

Beginning this weekend, the Moving Pa’lante spotlight page on HBO Max will showcase a collection of curated programming, featuring compelling films, music specials, documentaries, and original programming that focus on the Latino experience.

HBO Max Pa’lante! will close out the summer at NYLFF as we salute the Latin culture with live music performances, food, games, and an evening that will have you Moving Pa’lante!

How HBO Max is Taking Sound to Screen (Billboard Latin Music Week – MIAMI).

Go beyond music sales and take music storytelling to another level while moving “la cultura Pa’lante.”  Join HBO Max executives, Jessica Vargas and Leslie Cohen, along with artist Farruko and Loud and Live producer Edgar Martinez as they delve into how HBO Max creates and markets its slate of acquired Latin music films and documentaries, sharing their creative process and the strategies they use to deliver compelling content that resonates with fans across the US and Latin America.

Sept. 24th – 26th Pa’lante! Virtual Concert Watch Parties

Ada Rojas from Vecina Couture and influencers will host virtual watch parties in partnership with Pa’lante! to promote concert specials on the platform.

This month-long festivity will also include a free outdoor event at the New York Latino Film festival that will celebrate Latin music with an exceptional performance by multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter and reggaeton star Justin Quiles, a panel at the Latin Billboard Conference, and a pop-up event in Los Angeles introducing Pa’lante! University – an evergreen program that stands to educate, empower and celebrate Latin culture through content and experiences.

Included on the Moving Pa’lante! Spotlight page in the HBO Max app will be musical specials, critically acclaimed movies and TV shows, Latino-directed films, stand-up specials, and more!

Recently, HBO Max Pa’lante! Launched the Pa’lante! Promise to support Latino creatives through a creative partnership with OneFifty—WarnerMedia’s artistic studio focused on curating, developing, and investing in bold, innovative, fresh, and compelling storytelling.

In a statement, Jessica Vargas, Director of Multicultural Marketing at HBO Max and HBO, spoke about the great strides the company is taking on inclusivity. “The Pa’lante! Promise and WarnerMedia OneFifty is a great example of a network creating a platform where Latin creatives and their work are supported and elevated, through promotional campaigns that resonate with our audience authentically.”

The Sun Who Can’t Play Trumpet (short), A Love Supreme (feature), L.Atinas (episodic), and Harvest (feature) will go into pre-development next year.  Additionally, HBO Max and WarnerMedia OneFifty proudly announced today the acquisition of a slate of Latin content helmed by Latino filmmakers. These projects will premiere on HBO Max within the following year. The films cover various genres, including short content, unscripted, documentary films, and feature narratives.
