In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, legendary Latin band Los Tigres Del Norte unveiled a new song on September 15 in honor of the Latin community. “A Mi Gente De Aca,” which translates to “For My People Here,” is an emotional and heartfelt single dedicated to the many migrants who make the difficult choice to leave their homes and country, and make the dangerous journey across borders to seek a better life. Within the lyrics, the band is sending words of admiration and support for all those putting in hard work in strange lands to build a better life.
This new single, from their upcoming album, comes after a seven-year hiatus and follows the release of their previous single “La Reunión” (The Reunion,) which finds the band convening an extended family gathering – once again embracing and strengthening the family bonds between generations that saw them through a long separation.
Beginning this weekend, Los Tigres Del Norte will also resume their Reunion Tour as they make their way across concert arenas in the U.S. The tour kicks off tonight at the Ak-Chin Casino in Maricopa AZ, before heading to Harrah’s Casino in Laughlin, Nevada.
