Practical Magic 2 Trailer Released

Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman return for ‘Practical Magic 2,’ set for September release

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are reprising their roles as the Owens sisters in “Practical Magic 2,” a follow-up to the 1998 fantasy film, Warner Bros. Pictures announced.

The sequel finds the sisters confronting a dark family curse rooted in their ancestral magic. The studio describes the film as a “must-see cinematic event of fun, magic and mayhem.”

Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Mariduena and Solly McLeod join Bullock and Kidman in the cast, along with Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing.

Susanne Bier is directing from a screenplay by Akiva Goldsman, Georgia Pritchett and Kelly Marcel. The film is based on Alice Hoffman’s novel “The Book of Magic.”

Denise Di Novi, Bullock and Kidman are producing. Donald Sabourin, Hoffman, Andrew A. Kosove and Broderick Johnson are executive producers.

Bier’s creative team includes director of photography Simon Duggan, production designer Tom Burton, editor Sam Williams, composer Rupert Gregson-Williams, costume designer Alexandra Byrne and casting director Jina Jay. Season Kent and Gabe Hilfer are serving as music supervisors.

The film is a Di Novi Pictures, Fortis Films and Blossom Films production, made in association with Alcon Entertainment. Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute “Practical Magic 2” worldwide.

The movie opens in theaters in North America on Sept. 11, 2026, and rolls out internationally beginning Sept. 9, 2026.
