MUSE TV recently talked with Composer for the new special Mickey’s Tale of Two Witches, Tony Morales about the music for the Halloween Special.

Mexican American composer and musician Tony Morales is composer of Disney Junior’s upcoming holiday-themed TV movies, “Mickey’s Tale of Two Witches” and “Mickey and Minnie Wish Upon a Christmas,” premiering Thursday, October 7 and Thursday, December 2, respectively.

Morales also served as composer on Disney’s “Elena of Avalor,” which follows Princess Elena, Disney’s first princess inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore. For his work on the series, he was nominated for multiple Emmy Awards and an Annie Award.

Morales began his career as a staff composer with Hans Zimmer’s Media Ventures. He earned his first Emmy nomination as a score composer for the miniseries “Hatfields & McCoys,” and has also composed for such television series as “Bloodline,” “Scorpion,” “Alaska: The Final Frontier,” and the upcoming “Reacher,” a drama series based on the best-selling series of novels by Lee Child.

Growing up with a passion for music and playing the guitar, Morales attended the University of Southern California’s Advanced Studies in Film Scoring program and graduated with a degree in film scoring from Berklee College of Music.
