NEWS x MUSE Michael Sandoval talks with the legendary luchador, Blue Demon Jr. and founders of Moxie 88 Dan Carrillo Levy and Eugenio Villamar at San Diego Comic-Con about the upcoming comic book and future film about the wrestler.

The legendary luchador’s appearance at San Diego Comic-Con comes weeks after celebrating 38 years in the ring, marking an incredible career that has expanded from wrestling to entertainment and pop culture. His recent partnership with Exile Content Studio and Moxie 88 will expand the use of the luchador’s likeness in the areas of film, television, animation and merchandising on a worldwide scale.

Co-Founder Dan Carrillo Levy has worked for over 16 years of experience in filmmaking, with responsibilities ranging from running Development for film studios, Consulting on Major Film Marketing/Publicity Campaigns, Producing features for Disney, Directing Music Videos for Universal Music, Producing and Directing Commercials; to Creating, Producing and Directing a successful production section during the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics that earned him a special recognition by the Olympic International Committee. His short film ZERO HOUR was an official selection in over 65 major Film Festivals worldwide.

Co-Founder Eugenio Villamar was a former VP of Production of major film studios in Latin America. He is credited as Director and Producer of Feature Films, Commercials and Television shows in USA, Mexico and Latin America. He graduated from prestigious UCLA Theater Film and Television MFA in Screenwriting program. He was distinguished as a 2010 Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker’s Fellow, as well as a 2011 Sloan Foundation Screenwriting Award Winner.
